MEET THE TEAM
Alex Goodrich
Director
Alex (BEng, MBA) has been managing Intermach since 2017. With extensive experience in fiber lasers, studying them in depth since their introduction to the Australian market, he has also received specialized training in Germany for the operation and maintenance of high-power laser systems from IPG Laser GmbH.
Alex’s background is steeped in machinery supply and service. He grew up playing hide and seek among the machines at the factory his father, John, established in 1992 for industrial equipment supply; the very same factory Intermach continues to operate from to this day.
Michael Curcio
General Manager
Michael (BAppSc) joined the Intermach family in 2021 after spending 15 years working as a project manager in construction.
He brings an unrivalled enthusiasm and work ethic to the team and his many years of project management experience makes for the smooth operation of our installation and service projects as well as the mentoring of our young but experienced team.
Greg Cox
Engineering Manager
Greg has decades of real industry experience, originally trained by Amada and working with them for 8 years. Turret Punches and CO2 Lasers were his specialty, now moving into predominantly fiber lasers after specialty training in Germany.
He’s been in the Intermach family for decades and is extremely well known and respected in the industry. If you have a history in sheet metal, he has more than likely gotten you out of trouble before!
Garth Haig
Technical Sales
Garth has a decade of experience in equipment sales in the manufacturing and fabrication industry.
Garth is a specialist in complex machinery systems and solutions, especially high power and automation. Get in touch with him for expert advice about anything, big or small!
Kyle Murphy
Mechanical Engineer
Kyle, like Alex, grew up immersed in his family’s business, and is a highly skilled third-generation fitter and turner.
A true mechanical virtuoso, Kyle has a remarkable talent for all things mechanical. On weekends, you’ll often find him dedicating his extra time to his passion for rebuilding cars and engines.
Jianing Nie
Mechanical Engineering Technician
After collaborating with more than 30 Chinese born fiber laser engineers over the past eight years, we have carefully selected Jianing as the top candidate to join the Intermach team.
We are thrilled to have Jianing, a highly skilled fiber laser technician, as part of our local team stationed here permanently in Victoria.
Ranuli Kolamunna
Assistant Accountant
Ranuli (BAF) (CPA) (CFA Associate) is a critical member of the team, ensuring the business is a well oiled machine.
With exceptional attention to detail and a love for problem-solving, she’s invaluable to day to day operations, ensuring everything and everyone is running smoothly.
Dan Hurd
Engineering Apprentice
Dan is sorely missed every Tuesday when he attends TAFE for his Cert III in Engineering / Mechanical Trade.
Currently in his third and final year of TAFE, he’s been with the Intermach team and been keenly learning under Alex and Greg for years. He is already trusted with completing interstate fiber laser and pressbrake installations on his own.
